I've visited this place multiple times, and it never disappoints. They offer a diverse selection of ramen, including a veggie broth option for those who prefer non-pork choices. The fries are a must-try--crispy and flavorful. I always enjoy coming here and highly recommend it, 10/10.

Hey- this the location is by Valrico. as soon I arrived, i was shown my seat. i asked for water with no ice and for apps, ordered shrimp tempura for $6.99, it was as good as they can come, no special decoration just three shrimp on top of water crest. For my choice of ramen, i wanted to try Spicy Tonkatsu- for $13.99. i like it for the cost versus others in the vicinity that charges $15.99 to $18.99 for simple noodle meal. It was delicious! The noodle was thinner that many of the other but the difference still did not deter the blend of broth. Next I'd like to try miso/soy based ramen. This location is no Izakaya style place, it's pretty huge inside and easily sit 50 people. Amazing meal during a late lunch. I will return for my second visit soon. Yes, please come and try for yourself, tell if i right!

I first tried this Tampa Bay ramen spot over three years ago when there was way less ramen options in the area. Since then, they have only improved in taste, atmosphere, and hospitality. The shop is super cozy, mostly booths, with some of my favorite Youtubers on the TVs (including Rambalac). Not many people know that Kyoto and Otsuka ramen, both on Dale Mabry, have the same owner. Once you try both, it's easy to notice, even though the menu is slightly different. Since most people in Florida are ramen critics, that's all I'll say about that. Japan has many different types of ramen, depending on region and seasonal ingredients. Definitely recommend trying as many different kinds as possible before forming a strong opinion. They also have a Valrico, FL location now.

What a gem of a find! Husband and I came here for an impromptu lunch and loved it from top to bottom. Cute interior in an unassuming plaza off Dale Mabry. Very, very clean! Well decorated and comfortable. Open kitchen which is always a positive as you can see the conditions and this place is pristine. Prompt, friendly service. Outstanding food! We ordered the breaded chicken wings to start and they came out piping hot and crispy. The breading had curry in it and they were packed with flavor. I honestly burned my mouth a little because I just couldn't wait for them to cool down to keep eating, they were that good. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and let me tell ya, be prepared for SPICE. Though the menu only denotes one pepper (of the three possible pepper levels in their key), this broth is not for the faint of heart. Bold and substantive, the broth is full of richness and hard to stop eating. It is delightfully viscous and clings well to the noodles and the perfectly cooked pork and egg. But again- it is HOT. I offered a sip to my husband and he had a runny nose after just one taste (as did I!). The noodles were cooked correctly and the slurping texture was ideal. The plum rice wine was chilled to the exact right temperature and so sweet and smooth. I wanted more than one bottle but it was a working lunch ;) My husband got the standard tonkotsu ramen and enjoyed it every bit as much as I enjoyed mine. Not too salty and not bland at all. A well balanced ramen. We will definitely be back!

We visited on a week day during lunch time. It wasn't busy but the food took awhile to come out. The ramen broth was yummy and I would recommend getting the black garlic oil on top. My vegetarian ramen was loaded with veggies and I didn't think it was lacking. Also the bowls were very large which made the meal very filling. They were playing almost club-like music while we were eating which was interesting to say the least and playing videos of people making bubble tea on their tvs while their menu didn't offer bubble teas. The ambiance was subpar but food was tasty.

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon - it wasn't super busy, there were a handful of other customers there at the same time as us. The restaurant wasn't noisy or distracting, it was surprisingly quiet and quaint on the inside. I ordered the Tonkotsu Black-Garlic Lover Ramen - it was so yummy (I didn't get a before picture because we were so excited to eat, we just dug right in and I forgot) I ordered the create your own ramen for my daughter, we just did the chicken broth and ramen noodles, she's a picky eater and doesn't like anything else lol - but she ate almost all of it and said it was tasty! My daughter ordered the strawberry Japanese soda, she always loves those little sodas with the marbles. We also ordered hot sake - but our server didn't bring it out, towards the end we just asked for it to be removed from our ticket, and he did remove it, but then he brought out hot sake for us anyway on the house and apologized for forgetting it - that was really wonderful customer service, in my opinion. I will be back here for more ramen! It's in a plaza that I really don't pay much attention to as I drive by, so I'm glad I was introduced to this little spot or I might've continued to just drive past it unknowingly!

Really enjoyed Otsuka Ramen! It's definitely tucked away an unassuming, but once you're inside it's a real treat. Met an former colleague for a good catch-up lunch. We shared the gyoza, he got the Tonkotsu black garlic ramen and I got the pork chashu rice bowl with the sauces on the side. My only complaint was it seemed to be a small amount of pork. We both finished our meals happily. Next time, I would definitely try the ramen (which is clearly what they're known for)!
